“I never planned to run for office— until the government sought to destroy everything my family built.”

Meet Cole Johnson

A Marine. A Farmer. A Fighter for Working Families.

Cole Johnson joined the U.S. Marine Corps at 19 and served eight years around the world, learning what it means to lead, sacrifice, and stand up for something greater than yourself.

In 2014, he married his wife, Sarah, and together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. After leaving the Marine Corps during COVID, Cole set out to build a small farm where he could raise his children with the values he fought to defend.

They poured everything into that dream—buying land, expanding their herd, and opening a fully legal raw-milk herd share that quickly grew to serve families across northeastern North Carolina.

When Government Overreach Hit Home

Just months after expanding the farm, the General Assembly quietly inserted a ban into the Farm Act that would make Cole’s entire operation illegal. The vote was only days away.

Cole and Sarah refused to back down. They rallied local farmers, consumers, homesteaders, and freedom advocates. A handful of calls turned into thousands—and the Senate backed down.

But the fight wasn’t over. Rumors of harsher bans spread. Then Cole watched coastal shrimpers undergo the same battle: hardworking families blindsided by regulations that threatened their way of life.

The Problem Was Bigger Than Raw Milk

Cole realized the issue wasn’t one industry—it was a General Assembly that had forgotten who it works for.

He knows what it feels like to call your elected officials begging them to protect the job that feeds your family… and be ignored.

He knows what it’s like to hear lawmakers admit they didn’t read the bill that could destroy your livelihood.

He knows the helpless anger of watching government power go unchecked.

“No one is coming to save us.”

After seeing the political machine up close—and leaked emails proving some politicians wanted harsher bans—Cole came to one conclusion:

If working families needed someone to fight for them, he had to be that someone.
